I’m an older smoker and I’ve been familiar with NORML’s efforts since I was a teenager in the 1990s. Back then legalization was barely a pipe dream and we couldn’t imagine what has happened in Colorado, Washington, and other states. For those that aren’t familiar, NORML is the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws and they have been a longstanding voice against prohibition.
What will become of the organization once weed is finally legalized on a federal level? Do you think there will be other fights to be won? Do you think it will be the end of them?
Or if not NORML, what other organizations could say, “Mission Accomplished” once weed is legalized federally? What else would it take to consider that status completed?
