Sorry if this is not the right place to post this.
Me and my girlfriend have become accustomed to smoking every day. We kinda got into smoking together and realized it was much better for both us instead of drinking. I really enjoy our evenings together where we’d share a bowl and relax, be silly, and calm, and just idk, enjoy being high together.
Recently, she’s decided to switch career fields and is now volunteering with the fire department and is going for EMT training. Obviously these fields drug test, especially in the beginning. I’m really supportive of this, but I’m sad that she’s deciding to quit smoking because of it.
I have no intentions of quitting and I’m worried that she’ll start to resent me because of it. I feel like she’ll get annoyed being around me when I’m high and it will lead to problems for us.
Has anyone else’s partner gone from being an avid smoker to quitting cold turkey while you continued? Did it affect your relationship? If so, how did you handle it?
